It is hard to leave someplace you have grown accustomed to over the years, but sometimes that is just what you have to do. I had been laid off from my job, like so many are facing during this economic down fall. Money was tight and I was desperate for a job; I was willing to work anywhere as long as I could pay the bills on time.
A marketing company I had sent my resume to finally got back with me with an offer. The job was good enough that I could not turn it down, even if it was not the best. In less then a week, I had talked things through with my wife and let the company know I would accept the position.
I knew the hard part was yet to come, deciding that we were going to move due this job is the easy part. Having to say goodbye to friends and family is never easy. Children do not do well when faced with having to leave their friends behind. I have a boy and a girl and just seeing the horrified expressions on their faces when they found out that we were moving was terrible for me.
Between trying to find work, and now having to move, I am going to need help. I had to ask my friends and family what they knew about national movers; Up until now, I did not have a need to know about them. When it came to moving, I had never given the idea much thought. Luckily, they were kind enough and experienced enough to point me out in the right direction though.
I ended up renting two mid-sized storage vans and the weekend before I started my job we packed up all of our stuff with the help of some of my friends. It was at this time that I realized that I didn’t want to have to make the trip back to pick up my car. Both my wife and I would be driving the vans, and I could not find anyone available to make the trip.
I was caught in a complication. I needed the vehicle for my job, but that ment having to drive all the way back then turn around again. The traffic in this area of Cali is too much for that plan to be feasible. Then someone suggested looking into auto shipping.
Choosing a company took time, but we did decide on one. We had three of four available locally I was considering. When the companies are willing to give you moving quotes it makes finding the right one a whole lot easier.
While searching for a company, someone suggested looking under California car transport, this is where I made my choice from. Our car made it to San Francisco the next day in the afternoon. The price was pretty reasonable, considering I did not have to make the trip.
I was able to go in and relax a little before starting work, after my car had arrived and I thanked the guys for being so efficient. As much as I hated to admit it; I was happy that I had a job and that we had been able to transition so quickly and well.I know the auto guys did much to help me feel that way.
