College supplies that you take from home could include books, cd s, stationery, laundry supplies, umbrellas, alarm clock, calculators and so on. But your means of travel will determine how much stuff you could carry over from all the way home. So you need to do a feasibility study in that area as well.

Many State showrooms will put up discounts for back to college supplies about three weeks after college starts. So if there are things that you don t need immediately, it is best to hold on for a few weeks until the bargains are on.

As far as the textbooks are concerned, you may want to look out for second hand books as the brand new textbooks will cost you a fortune.
